New Google Maps API version 3
Today, Google has officially announced version 3 of its Maps API. We were pleased to hear about the improvements and we will now learn in greater detail how the changes may affect mashups. For WhatsYourPlace, we are particularly hoping to improve map loading times and also the geocoding. When you purchase your own place on WYP, address details are automatically added to your land records. But this reverse geocoding so far does not work perfectly. Maybe using the new API, it will.
